Tips in Cooking Eggplant and Dried Squid

Tips in Cooking and Eating Dried Squid

My husband received dried squid as a gift from his friend. We eat this during pica pica, chatting, or whenever we watched movie on DVD. His friend told him that the best way to cook dried squid is to cut it first, because the squid will shrink in cooking. So we cut it in small portion, before we cook. He also told my husband that dried squid is more delicious when the squid is not hot.
We prepare vinegar with garlic and hot chili as a dip for dried squid. We also add some tomatoes as side dish.
Our bonding was great thanks to dried squid, lol!

Tips in Cooking Eggplant

This is one of our viands for today, haha! Fried eggplant, I love this with soy sauce, calamansi, red chili as “sawsawan”. Fried eggplant or pritong talong absorbs so much cooking oil so if you are in a diet better put first the fried eggplant in a tissue so the cooking oil will be absorbed by the tissue. Fried eggplant can be a side dish or pair with any dish especially fried viand also.

FRIED EGGPLANT

Here are the other ways to include eggplant in your cooking or dishes.
Eggplant can also be added in fried rice. Just cut is small portion, fry it and mix it with fried rice.
Eggplant can be mixed with sinigang, paksiw, egg omelet, vegetables salad, etc.
