We don’t usually eat at Goldilocks but last week we tried
their dinuguan and kare-kare. I am in love with the taste of kare kare and my
husband loves dinuguan. Kare-kare is more expensive than dinuguan, if I am not
mistaken my husband paid more or less 180 pesos for one order of kare kare and
60-70 pesos for dinuguan.
I should say that the
cost of kare kare is worth its taste. The dish is yummy and creamy. I like the
semi sweet taste of the kare kare and the bagoong too. Their Bagoong is not
that salty, it is sweet and perfect pair for the “tuwalya”.

What I don’t like that much is their dinuguan, I am
expecting more, like it is more flavorful. Good thing that the cost of dinuguan
is not that expensive.

The next time that we will eat at Goldilocks, we’ll try
their other menu like their lumpiang sariwa or sinigang.
Thank you for visiting and commenting on blog. Its rare for most visitors to comment on my old blog posts. Thank you for taking time.
ReplyDeleteI rarely eat at Goldilocks because they are not conveniently located here in my area. But if I want to buy cakes, I intentionally go there.
Hi! Thanks for the comment. commenting back. :)
ReplyDeleteI actually don't eat kare kare or dinuguan so I can't comment on how good or bad goldilocks is. I've tried many times, but don't quite like the peanutty taste of karekare.
Anyway, Cake-wise I prefer Red Ribbons better, but food/ulam, haven't tried. If you happen to try their other food, hope to read it on your blog :) Ciao!
i love the kare kare of goldilocks..it is cheaper than most too
ReplyDeleteYou should try their Bopis there. It's always the one that I order if I take my lunch at Goldilocks.
ReplyDeleteAnd speaking of Kare-Kare, I just had it at lunch earlier. Nakakamiss! :D

ReplyDeleteWho would not love Kare-Kare. I love Kare-Kare when it's creamy and "peanuty" flava.
ReplyDeleteI actually did not know that Goldilocks also serves those types of dishes. I thought they are only selling bread, pastries and cakes.
ReplyDeleteWow, mouthwatering dinuguan,I miss this a lot. Goldilocks serves good dinuguan.
ReplyDeleteGoldilocks really made a big leap when it comes to food varieties. These Filipino dishes are what make them one of the top restaurants in the country.
